Michael T. Lucas – CEO & Founder

Michael T Lucas

Michael T. Lucas is the Chairman and founder of Unisone. As the Company’s lead inventor, Mr. Lucas was awarded U.S. patent number 6,996,538, on February 7, 2006 from the U.S. Patent office and has over 18 other patents pending in the United States. Through the leadership and vision of Mr. Lucas, Unisone has built a broad patent portfolio spanning across 32 countries, formed an RFID systems integration company, acquired a robust ERP software company, Pangaea Systems, and established equity ownership in companies such as TradeMotion Software, the leader in e-commerce automotive parts procurement, and Herdstar, LLC, an innovative systems provider for livestock producers using RFID. The Company has established customers, including Fortune 100 companies, government and defense contractors, and automotive industry suppliers. Mr. Lucas also serves as the President and CEO of Unisone affiliate Intelligentz Corporation.



Matt Truong - President of the Government Division

Matt Truong

Matt joined Unisone affiliate Intelligentz in 2005 as CIO and brought more than 15 years experience in the design, engineering, and deployment of RFID and wireless technologies. Mr. Truong then moved on to become President of Intelligentz's Government Division. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Truong worked at Symbol Technology (and formerly at Matrics, prior to its acquisition by Symbol) as an RF industry expert. Matt has served in management roles for three successful startups, as well as large corporations such as Ericsson IP Infrastructure, Attest Technologies and Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Truong has direct experience with complex and strategic RFID programs for Wal-Mart, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the Hong Kong International Airport.

Colin Osburn - CIO

Colin joined Intelligentz in 2006 as VP of Operations. In early 2007, he became the CIO, leveraging his 13 years in high-tech and telecom. Prior to Intelligentz, Colin was the Director of IT for Time Warner Cable, running a 10 person team to support 1,200 employees and 400,000 subscribers within Texas. Colin served in IT management roles in two previous startups and has worked with 10 other startups since 1994, including Trilogy and Sitestuff.com. Colin has a B.S. in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Gerardo Flores - VP Business Development

Gerardo Flores joined Intelligentz in September of 2006 as Vice President of Business Development. Before he joined Intelligentz, Mr. Flores was employed with NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas since August of 1996 while in his second year at the University of Washington. He gained a B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree and in June of 1999, Flores officially joined NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California, as a mechanical staff engineer. During Flores’ employment his accomplishments included responsibility for the mechanical oversight and analysis of various rover and science mechanisms, and actuators while the MER rovers continued to perform on Mars. Among some of his most accredited accomplishments included the recent Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) TMRV test program, as well as, the mechanical design support, configuration, costing and scheduling for HERA and Comet Odyssey Programs. In addition, Flores has provided mechanical support for the design, analysis and testing of large 70-m steerable antenna structural and mechanical components for the Deep Space Network (DSN) ground stations around the world. Mr. Flores was also largely responsible for the development, design, testing, fabrication and assembly of the MER Egress test subsystem and MER Lander Outrigger mechanical flight hardware. Mr. Flores’ involvement as the mechanical structures systems lead with the JPL Team X Advanced Projects Design Team has exposed him to numerous technical and creative challenges. His extensive background, expertise, and knowledge in mechanical engineering have provided valuable direction in the capabilities of RFID today and in the future.
